Dear JHU SGA,
The Judiciary has granted a Writ of Certiorari filed by Petitioner Mr. Jackson Morris. Per the Writ, the respondents listed in the petition include: The Executive Branch and The Legislative Branch, and, more specifically, President Stone Meng, Secretary Buse Koldas, and all senate committee Chairs. The parties involved have four (4) business days to respond to this Writ of Certiorari, and, in this case, the Judiciary implores the respondents to create one, unified response. Attached is the Petition for the Writ of Certiorari filed by Petitioner Mr. Jackson Morris. The hearing/oral arguments will be scheduled for a later time, and all parties will be notified of this timeline.
In the event that parties that are not the “Petitioner” or the “Respondents” but that are directly related to the merits of the case have an interest in submitting opinions to the Court via Amicus Curiae, they have the right to do so prior to the deadline of 24 hours prior to the beginning of the hearing.
For questions regarding the proceedings please refer to the Rules of the Judiciary. Alternatively, you may contact Chief Justice Luc Mazzanobile and/or any other justice via E-Mail. (lmazzan1@jhu.edu, ftitre1@jhu.edu, smessin9@jhu.edu, cramdat1@jhu.edu, agautam3@jhu.edu)
