Act to Establish Funding for the Sophomore Class Council Tabling

Be it enacted by the Senate of the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University assembled that:

SECTION 1. TITLE. This Act may be referred to as the “SGA Sophomore Tabling Funding Initiative”

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS

  1. SGA — The term “SGA” shall refer to the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University.
  2. JHU, Hopkins — The terms “JHU” and “Hopkins” shall refer to The Johns Hopkins University.

SECTION 3. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES

  2. There are a plethora of feedback that the student body have
  3. There are not enough accessible in-person opportunities for receiving such feedback (b) PURPOSES
  4. This act establishes funding for the Sophomore Class Council Tabling Event we plan to host at the Breezeway in late September/early October.
  5. Through funding this endeavour, the Sophomore Class Council would be able to provide enough incentive to attract students to interact with the tabling.

SECTION 4. FUNDING

  1. A total of $64 is being requested for the following items:

SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY Should any provision of this Act, an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

The Bill hereby PASSES/FAILS by a vote of ___ to __with ___ ab stentions.

Upon passage, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the seal of the Senate to be affixed to this bill indicating the Senate’s assent and thus officially designated the bill’s adoption as law.
