Rules Bill S.B.26-27.21.04-1 Rules Bill Discussion: Changes Made: Decision: Passed w/ Positive Recommendation Aye: Shreemann, Sumi, Boyi, Demarri, Ella, Mamadou, Cole, Saanvi Nay: 0 Abstain: 0 Committee Vice Chairs IA and Finance Exempt All other committees should select Vice Chairs before the next GBM. Technically “upon election or at the next committee meeting” (Nomination by chair; confirmation by 2/3rds vote of committee) Committee Scribe (Unofficial Position) Each committee also needs someone appointed to take minutes. Open Forum Initiatives/Ideas? Shreemann: Standardize bills, continue cleaning up by-laws and Constitution as necessary. More accountability procedures. Sumire: Secretary should join meetings, since she manages Bylaws; managing the website and social media is a lot of work, perhaps we should have another position (i.e., co-director of communication) Demarri: Document for committee to leave comments on current Bylaws for next meeting: Comments for JHU SGA Bylaws (Amended April 2026) Comments forJHU SGA Constitution April 2026 Jazzlyn: Calendar for initiatives as opposed to spreadsheet (helps visually); update the spreadsheet to automatically move next issues up to top (idea)
