An SGA cosponsorship Funding Bill

Act to Fund the Speed Dating Event

SECTION 1. TITLE. This Act may be referred to as the “Blue Meets Jay - Speed Dating Funding Bill”

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS.

1. SGA — The term “SGA” shall refer to the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University.
2. JHU, Hopkins—The terms “JHU” and “Hopkins” refer to Johns Hopkins University.

SECTION 3. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES.

1. FINDINGS & PURPOSES (explain why funding is needed, what the event is for, and what content and sponsorship is desired -- open to all? Celebrating event? Etc. )
2. Who doesn’t want a speed dating event?
3. Logistics:
   1. Have people have stickers of what they’re looking for
   2. Have a list of questions for people to have, so then they can ask
   3. Moderators are Tim and Amy
4. Expecting around 48 people, with a possible rotation in the middle to get new people

SECTION 4. FUNDING OF ITEMS

2. The total amount would be $516
3. Need $516

SECTION 5 . SEVERABILITY. Should any provision of this Act, an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance be held to be unconstitutional or , the remainder of this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

The Bill hereby Passes by a vote of x to x with x abstentions.

Upon passage, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the seal of the Senate to be affixed to this bill indicating the Senate’s assent and thus officially designated the bill’s adoption as law.
