MET Gala - 50th Night Date: Sat, April 2nd 6-10PM Budget: 10K → 13K

Key Goals

  • Accommodate at least 250 seniors
  • Establish a themed event, create a tradition
    • MET Gala 2022 - “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”
    • Poll Seniors, WITH OPTIONS NOT BLANK SLATE
  • Professional Photography, Red Carpet Interviews
    • Funding from commencement office

Alternative Venues

Logistical Considerations

  • Minimize transportation costs
  • Dance floor and cash bar
  • Stagger arrivals to allow for photos, 6-8 PM
  • RED CARPET, on stairs, roast people who don't dress up adequately
  • Notify programming bodies to avoid event overlap - FSL, HOP, dance groups

Decisions

  • Do we want to be flexible with the date for the ideal venue?
    • 50th? 25th - Wed, April 27? Random?

Sober Party Monitors

  • Can we ensure all of our volunteer sober monitors are TIPS trained by the end of the week?
    • Do we have backups? (Grace, Subha)
  • Create groupme for SPMs to communicate with Senior Class Council
  • Ask for their preferred timeslot

Transportation

  • Will we have enough lyft codes/value to transport all of our necessary people?
    • Lyft #1: Grace, Photographer, DJ; Lyft #2-4: SPMs (8)

Photographer

  • Jessie: Can I bring a +1 to help carry lights?
