Minutes
- Updates from Charles–Charles
- Stone asked Charles if there were any updates after working with Brittani Brown over the break. Charles asked Nasreen to give the updates regarding the protests.
- Nasreen said that she will message Hopkins Justice Collective and transparently inform them that the resolution will not be put on the agenda. If there is any backlash, then we will come up with a response. The decision is made to protect students from doxxing and with consideration of the outcomes of other resolutions.
- Finance Update & Discussion–Brandon
- GBM Agenda–Nas
- Nasreen received six bills in total, and a lot of people asked for their bills to be in second reading. Oluwakemi’s bill for Finance will be put in second reading; Nasreen will take a look at the rest later today. She will also confirm which advisors will be coming to the meeting this week.
- Lee Hawthrone will visit the GBM again. She will provide updates and a person who couldn’t make it to the first meeting will visit the GBM with her.
- Upcoming GBMs Discussion
- Stone asked for the participation of the advisors in the upcoming GBMs.
- Petition & Hearing Discussion
- Stone informed that the Judiciary asked them to fill out a When2meet to schedule the hearing; Charles asked Stone to not fill it out and for any future communication from the Judiciary to be directed to him.
- Student Body Email Discussion
- Stone explained that the executive branch wants to send out a student body email before the elections to provide updates and highlight senator achievements.
- Charles said that the email has to be sent to him and then he will work with Brown to get it approved. He asked them to be careful with the tone of the email. The tone should reflect that we are working with the administration in making things happen.
