- Charles reported we finally have the actual budget
- Vishnu told during the leadership gathering Dr. Brown communicated there will be 2% increase on every budget
- 321000, 1800 operation budget
- Most issues Vishnu faced was budget and RSO budget
- SGA has not received any answers
- Charles is hoping that SGA funding discussion can be done by the end of school year ready for the new academic year to start off with all the budget allocation planned out
- Budget is taking too long when SGA should be already starting to operate
- Krystal is doing research on how other schools are allocating budget and SGA funding is based on the benchmark
- Imad will contact Jason on the research and will CC Krystal
- Charles told the involvement fair was supposed to happen this Friday but due to the delay on budget it won’t happen soon
- Charles said budget will be out within few weeks
b. Student Center Concerns - PoS Srigouri Need more Tables and Chairs
- Srigouri communicated there is a high demand on increasing the number of furnitures in BSC.
- Charles responded that all the furnitures are still getting delivered to BSC and other departments but they are taking time.
- Eve, who is in charge of this project, is navigating this situation. She will be joining GBM soon.
Better Wi-Fi
- Wi-Fi shut downs have been a shared experience among faculties and students.
Access to rooms
- Students shared concerns about why empty rooms are not open to freely use for students. Srigouri expressed how making these rooms in BSC open for students would make the BSC a more welcoming and active environment.
- There are rooms for students to freely enter and use but students are not able to open the doors.
- It is not just the students who cannot get in but also the faculties cannot get in.
- Srigouri asked if the event services scheduled should be moved to after the official opening of BSC when those issues are solved.
- Charles said it should be held as soon as possible considering these issues won’t be fixed in just 2 months. Charles suggested we should hold one meeting now to get feedback then hold another meeting in January to discuss the progress and any remaining concerns.
- Charles suggested executive board being the committee to gather feedback.
- He also encouraged us to leverage the opportunity at Dinner with Deans to communicate these concerns.
- Srigouri suggested implementing a map for BSC.
- Charles asked if the BSC website provides a walk through map.
- SGA should help the school spread this information more effectively.
- Vishnu suggested having a QR code. Brody has a physical map at the entrance and BSC can imitate that strategy.
- Charles communicated the email will be sent out regarding the budget.
h. Programming General questions about approval (Jay Games, flyers, post)
- Tyler shares flyers designed by DoC.
- Hannah is reaching out to the communication department
- Brittney will look over the flyer designs for the emails
- Omotara suggested using SGA instagram platform.
Charles asked if the WSE department executive board reached out to the SGA E board. They have not. Tyler asked if the programming is allowed to receive sponsorship. Vishnu replied anything related to JHU 150th anniversary budget can be given out. Kevin’s AA bill amendment. It is less likely that it will be passed as the executive board is the one to communicate information with the student body under the supervision of deans.

- Vishnu communicated that Senator Sid is attempting to gather students to plan this initiative and he advised him to communicate with us then with the deans.
- Dining dollar expansion - VP Omotara
- Omotara asked if there is any possibility of expanding dining dollars to other expenditures such as chipotle and Streets markets.
- Vishnu replied it is feasible yet complex to proceed due to the financial system.
- Charles encouraged the executive board to communicate with Dr. Brown on Thursday regarding this matter.
- Charles suggested we communicate our ideas to support the school on BSC and dining.
- Srigouri asked advisors to communicate to the senators the effort during the GBM.
