Closed Session Reviews Procedural Rules, Bylaws are a little bit unclear on exactly how a closed session is handled, including who can stay, what technology is permitted, etc. Shreemann: is unclear, does the Senate have permission to remove the advisor; talked to Jackson, wondered this as well; everyone here, check so next meeting we can discuss and decide if legislative changes should be made.

Cornell Incident Administrator Discussion Questions Sumi: Admin will be here Tuesday; thinking of presentation followed by Q&A; expected 20 minutes, but prepared to possibly extend to 30 minutes Aside: anyone can leave the room if needed; let members of public know (if necessary) they can leave and speak to VP Sumi Any questions you guys have for admin? Shreemann: can be pretty much anything; some kind of commitment to students on campus, also think of other departments; we'll try to get stuff addressed Cole: Assuming this is similar to last GBM Shreemann: This is similar, but specifically Provost, etc., events at Cornell and what our admin is going to do Cole: Got you Sumi: Other note; members of public will also be present, hence I want them also to be able to speak; If you see Senators speaking over time, you can call on members of IA to call a Point of Order Shremmann: Yes Cole: I've seen some things on sidechat about SGA's branding on frat events, like the Crab Fest Sumi: Interesting Shreemann: I do want to say that the actions of one single fraternity does not represent all; I want to see how admin will make sure this does not happen; I see why people are making the fraternity that it's fraternities; though I don't see why it's based to say it's all fraternities, but thank you for bringing this up, i'll message it to Jazz, we'll see what we can do Sumi: If you've heard from your friends or on the internet, let me know as well, so we can better answer these questions during the meeting Cole: Yeah there was some false equivalency between the Cornell frat incident and one of ours Sumi: Yeah I presume this will be one of our more pressing meetings, possibly more personal questions, given that some have experienced these things on campus; I'd say please take care of your mental health and those of others; we will have a debrief after the presentation as well; we will bring snacks as well, hopefully this helps people.
