Act to Fund Student Services March Tabling Funding Bill

Student Services Tabling Initiative

SECTION 1. TITLE. This Act may be referred to as the “Student Services February Tabling Event”

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS.

1. SGA — The term “SGA” shall refer to the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University.
2. JHU, Hopkins - The terms “JHU” and “Hopkins” shall refer to the Johns Hopkins University.

SECTION 3. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES. FINDINGS & PURPOSES:

1. With Lunar New Year coming up and multiple other Asian holidays, we thought it would be nice to center our Student Services February Tabling event around celebrating culture and providing students with asian snacks and treats while we engage with and interact with students.
2. We hope to offer students a diverse variety of food and celebrate many asian cultures through the sharing of delights from all different countries.
3. We hope to speak with students about potential changes and improvements they would like to see to give back and connect with the student body at our tabling event.
4. Members of the Student Services Committee will be present at the tabling event and we hope to engage directly with students, see what we can do to help improve student life here on campus, and solicit any feedback or ideas.
5. Tabling event during the start of March

SECTION 4. FUNDING OF ITEMS

1. The total amount would be $175.06

SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY. Should any provision of this Act, an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance be held to be unconstitutional or, the remainder of this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

SECTION 6. ACTION ITEMS.

• Bill to pass tonight and for LEED to order the snacks by the end of the week
• Table and put on event by start of March

The Bill hereby Passes by a vote of x to 0 with 0 abstentions.

Upon passage, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the seal of the Senate to be affixed to this bill indicating the Senate’s assent and thus officially designated the bill’s adoption as law.
