- How will the renovations to AMR 1 affect the paths in the area, and how will students be informed about these potential changes?
General Construction questions:
- Would it be possible to control particulate matter that is exposed to students in the process of construction? i.e. dirt, dust, smoke
- How can students best report issues with the alternative pathways around construction? i.e. last year, the path from Brody to the beach in front of MSE was very poorly lit, for several months, during which students had safety concerns. Would it be possible to report detours/path blockages on a public platform?
- How do you evaluate the impact of construction on student flow between classes, especially during class-change rush hours?
- How can students be notified of upcoming projects from construction? The facilities website only lists current and past projects/updates.
Other construction project questions:
- We have seen some community concerns reported in the news over the tree impacts of the DSAI construction site. We also recognize that the university said they are committed to hearing from the community and planting more trees. Can you please provide us with some more information on this source of contention?
- Students have noted that the brick roads across campus get flooded during heavy rain periods. Are there any plans to renovate the roads to reduce the burden of flooding?
- When should we expect construction on MSE to be done and are there any expected delays?
