SGA considers bills aimed at normalizing the use of gender pronouns

The Student Government Association (SGA) held its weekly general body meeting Tuesday to discuss two bills regarding gender pronoun awareness from the Women and Gender Minorities’ Caucus (WGMC) as well as a bill to fund an SGA table at the Lighting of the Quads (LOTQ).

SGA Lighting of the Quads Tabling Funding Bill

Senior Class Senator Angela Hussain presented the SGA Lighting of the Quads Tabling Funding Bill to have SGA hold a tabling event during this year’s LOTQ on Dec. 3.

WGMC Tabling Bill

Sophomore Class President Kobi Khong presented the WGMC Tabling Bill, an initiative to raise awareness and normalize gender pronouns. If passed, the WGMC will hold a tabling event alongside SGA’s tabling event on Nov. 29.

WGMC Pronoun Pin Bill

Sophomore Class Senator Ireland Parrish presented the WGMC Pronoun Pin Bill, an initiative focused on normalizing gender pronouns.
