- Reading/Discussion of Opinion on Morris v. SGA
- Senator Jazzlyn reported that the Judiciary case should have been sent out last semester and shared with all the RSO senators and Executive officers via Executive secretary.
- Website updates: Jazzlyn reported that the website has not been updated and votes have not been recorded.
- Charles responded that the president of the senate is allowed to take vocal votes and can be anonymous.
- Jazzlyn reported that there was an issue with the election system due to unreported votes.
- Tyler reported Omotara and Tyler updated the website and DoC Jo will be present for the GBM.
- SGA Resolution Regarding ICE
- Jazzlyn reported she initially found this resolution from a city in Virginia which they created in purpose of safety in their city with emphasis on not conflicting with administration.
- Charles reported that SGA does not have the power to put up another message after administration has already put up their message to the school. For example, the president daniel put up a message after the town hall regarding affirmative action and SGA did not.
- Vishnu suggested instead of resolution, we could do a social media post similar to the public safety post we did in the last semester.
- Jazzlyn stated that it would be beneficial to put up a statement to inform our next step for the student body.
- Jessica also noted helpful resources are available on the public safety website so we could utilize that.
- Omotara suggested using outreach to provide resources for students who have any concerns or questions since this is a personal and vulnerable matter. She suggested gathering a number of senators and creating a team as a point of communication for resources and to help put up an email or post with all the resources.
- Jazzlyn said it is important to have RSOs in the space.
- Jessica emphasized it is imperative for us to ensure we are able to make a safe space for the students. Some senators shared concerns if the safe space can be achieved if individuals with opposing opinion were to be present at the meeting.
- Jazzlyn responded that the students must be aware that they are sharing their stories to a group of individuals with different opinions and they can reach out to the SGA members afterwards. She also stated that we have had people with differing opinions in the same room and were able to discuss.
- Jazzlyn shared a google document that indicates an invitation to the town hall.

- Charles responded that the invitations and scheduling must be approved from the admin and public safety office.
- Jazzlyn stated if we were to start at the beginning of this month having this town hall this month is feasible.
- Charles also stated he can discuss with Dr. Brown on Friday.
- Jazzlyn reported that her committee will meet on Monday to discuss the details.
- Charles also emphasized that he wants this to be an actual conversation and that students feel safe. Last year to ensure this condition it took a lot of effort and time and people from different departments. He also noted that this matter is a little different since this involves legal issues. He also said this will take longer than February 17th, and protection of students is the first priority.
- Jazzlyn also stated she is aware that students do not want their names written down when they share their opinions, so we can note this as SGA.
