- Administrator Form
- PoS Srigouri explained using administrator form to streamline some Q & A communications beforehand. She has brainstormed about utilizing 30 minutes cohort time divided into 3 sessions each dedicated to discuss potential questions to ask to different administrators. Srigouri presented a brief form where senators can pre-submit their questions.
- Charles noted that the 111th SGA did a similar process and it was helpful.
- Vishnu asked if we should utilize GroupMe for communication instead of Teams to yield better response.
- Charles responded to anything that is provided by the university and any conversation that involves advisors should be on Teams.
- Srigouri suggested encouraging senators to use Teams more.
- App Discussion
- Srigouri presented the app called “Slido” where people can post questions anonymously for the executive board to see potential questions beforehand. She asked if the Q&A should be prepared as a combination of the forms and the app.
- Vishnu said people won’t be able to prepare questions just during the cohort time form. He also said during the administrator presentation we can utilize the app.
- For tonight’s GBM, we have 10 minutes for administrators to present, and 10 minutes for Q&A.
- Charles reminded that tonight’s focus is about improving student engagement and transparency. Potentially the executive board can also ask about how we can utilize the instagram and streamlining the transparency.
- Jessica also noted that we should review some ideas written on the sticky notes from the leadership engagement treat.
- Vishnu announced that DoC Jo will be visiting GBM tonight.
- Srigouri suggested meeting her at 6:30pm to avoid overlapping with the GBM.
- Vishnu presented the plan for refreshing SGA social media and collaborating with the SEC.
- Charles noted we should discuss how we approach the approval process with Dr. Brown.
- Charles also noted Dr. Brown will be attending the SGA Executive meeting next Tuesday and we should be preparing some questions for it as well.
- Safety initiative
- Srigouri indicated that she has been hearing more safety concerns recently. There have been extremely dangerous situations where people started questioning campus safety’s reliability. Srigouri noted that the residents in those road houses face higher risk. She expressed the need to initiate something drastic to improve this situation as executive board other than inviting the campus safety to the GBMs. A student noted that the campus safety provides safety inspection for their homes upon request, but they have not heard from the campus safety.
- Charles suggested reaching out to Dr. Bard.
- Blue Jay Legacy Award
- Programming chair Tyler presented his idea to have multiple organizations collaborate and combine their funds for the event.
- Srigouri suggested doing incentives other than funds. She asked Imad if they are reforming the budget system.
- Imad reported the finance committee is orchestrating a research on funding.
- Srigouri and Imad agreed to encourage student organizations to collaborate more.
- Vishnu asked in the conversation about how the performing arts organizations should be funded by the university.
- Imad will be working with crystal on this matter.
- Budgets are due today.
- Tyler also noted that this year’s fall retreat will be less expensive than last year’s.
- Charles recommended going to the Reagan center and doing catering.
- The freshman election is finishing up and next week GBM will have an induction.
- GBM Guest Speaker Promotion
- Tyler presented a sample promotion flyer for guest speaker promotion.
- Charles will be sending the sample to Dr. Brown.
7. Points and questions for appointment of Johnnie Moore discussion.

- Srigouri, Charles, and Zaynab will be meeting this week to refine the questions.
