Disability Caucus Meeting Date: 9/9/24 Present: Jackson Morris, Raven McCoy, Ally Grimes

Agenda:

  • Committee structure and leadership
  • Student organizations and other partners to engage with as a caucus (ADA, DiSCO, DAPI, JHU4RARE, etc.);
  • Social media/student recruitment
  • What does the disability caucus entail?

Minutes:

  • Committee structure and leadership
    • Potential for molding structure to include liaison (DiSCO+ADA), social media coordinator, co-chair, etc as needed
    • Making sure we stay involved in collaborating with other student groups

        • Last year, had #hopkinsmoves, want to talk a specific student about their experience being disabled on campus.
      • Put together list of disability work related orgs across Hopkins & Homewood to shared with DIAC to JMed, Nursing, Digital Accessibility branch, etc to have a comprehensive university wide list/network to collab on events, advocacy etc. (Jackson is a part of DIAC)
