- Finance Report-Brandon
- Our discretionary budget is 14,145 USD with the LOTQ bill and the SARU event, and the reimbursement with the Jay Games food since Student Affairs will refund it.
- Charles asked Brandon to ask Crystal but he thinks it will probably be transferred at the end of the year.
- Stone asked about the turnout of the November 16 meeting, Finance 101. Brandon said that it wasn’t great and could’ve been better. He doesn’t know if it’s the day or if it’s the food.
- Stone said that this is the club treasurers’ only way to learn about finances and that they are missing out by not participating.
- Buse suggested sending out a feedback form to understand the issue.
- Stone said that he’s not sure if the treasurers would see that but doesn’t see a harm in it. He then asked Brandon if they had an email list for the treasurers, to which Brandon explained the process on Hopkins Groups.
- Tim asked if the listserv was ever made. Since it wasn’t, Stone asked that it be done as soon as possible as there are people who don’t receive the emails.
- Brandon is not sure what exactly the issue is (whether it’s people unsubscribing or something else).
- Stone asked if we can announce the important dates. Brandon said that they are working on it.
- Agenda Overview-Nasreen
- Only the resolution will be discussed tomorrow. Nobody sent anything. If anyone has any discussions, we can have them. Nasreen believes that it will be a short meeting.
- Brandon asked if we were able to get the necessary feedback to make sure that the resolution could be passed this Tuesday.
- Today, Nasreen and Charles will meet to provide more thorough feedback.
- Stone said that he will add the SDS Initiative to the agenda.
- Nasreen didn’t respond to Peter Jackson yet, who is a newly elected member of the junior class council. He recently informed Nasreen that he has a class that coincides with SGA this semester, but she is assuming he’s talking about this semester so it shouldn't be an issue.
- Next Admins to invite-Stone
- Email has been sent to Brittani Brown a few days ago.
- Charles will talk to Brown about this at 10 AM today.
- LOTQ Discussion-Tim
- The LOTQ bill is similar to last year. Over the next 2 days, he will get the merchandise from the bookstore. Since sweatpants have been changed from the sweatshirts, he will get those. The tablecloth and sweatshirts have been found. He’ll announce the tabling volunteering tomorrow.
- For the November Tabling, there will be a bunch of hot chocolate, so he followed up with Hopkins Dining about that. Stone has two gallons of hot water pitchers, so he’ll bring it.
- Tim will get people to sign up for the tablings.
- We'll spin the wheel at the LOTQ, so nothing too complex as people want to enjoy the event. Volunteer sign up has been sent to Stone.
- Impeachment of Programming Council–Tim
- Junior and Sophomore Programming Chairs are being eliminated today as they have 4 unexcused meetings. Tim will send out the email, not Amy or Nasreen, as it’s a separate branch.
- Vishnu has two people for the sophomore programming council and a current sophomore who joined last week.
- Stone is concerned that Tim is taking a lot of workload, but Tim said that he is doing fine.
- Freshman and Sophomore venues have been booked. We need more feedback from the seniors, but it’s pretty much on the way. For the junior formal, a survey will be pushed out. There will be an Instagram survey if the email list doesn’t come.
- Meetings Next Semester-Buse
- Buse asked to plan the meeting time for next semester as early as possible so that we can avoid having an 8 AM meeting again. Charles will talk to Crystal when she comes to the office.
