Student code of conduct “The fundamental purpose of the Johns Hopkins University’s (the “University” or “JHU”) regulation of student conduct is to promote and to protect the health, safety, welfare, property, and rights of all members of the University community as well as to promote the orderly operation of the University and to safeguard its property and facilities” Some Prohibited Student Conduct Includes: Bullying Sexual Misconduct Drug Usage Stealing Identity Theft

Roadmap 1 3 5 6 4 2 Inquiry is received and a conduct administrator or designee gathers information Agreed Resolution Meeting Administrative Hearing Inquiry is either accepted or rejected based upon amount of evidence Agreement is reached or it to a hearing Conduct Board Hearing

Different Board hearings An agreement is met at the agreement resolution meeting (respondent meets with conduct administrator) or it goes to these hearings: Administrative Hearing For more minor offences the conduct administrator holds a formal hearing and collects and assess evidence Conduct Board Hearings Closed proceeding in which a unanimous decision is made for responsibility and sanctions 4

Student code of conduct board Comprised of three student members and two staff and/or faculty members Students are appointed for annual terms by the Office of Student Conduct Do you think Judiciary should have a seat on this board? What about board of ethics? Students need representation when in said position Also support like someone to advise them so be put in the email of notification as a poin of reference or advice when students are in panic.
