An SGA Event Funding Bill

Act to Fund National Pancake Day Event

SECTION 1. TITLE. This Act may be referred to as the “National Pancake Day Tabling Funding Bill”

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS.

1. SGA — The term “SGA” shall refer to the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University.
2. JHU, Hopkins - The terms “JHU” and “Hopkins” shall refer to the Johns Hopkins University.
3. NPDT—The term “NPDT” shall refer to “National Pancake Day Tabling” which is for the purpose of fulfilling the responsibilities of the Chair of Programming.

SECTION 3. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES.

1. In previous years SGA has made an effort to obtain feedback from the student body in the same way. This year we intend to make a shift in the way we do this through more engaging tabling events.
2. This event will serve as the start of a new way of engaging with the student body through tabling.
3. Chair Turner will collaborate with committee chairs to explore ways to connect programming and the senate together.

SECTION 4. FUNDING OF ITEMS

1. The total amount would be $567.01

SECTION 5 . SEVERABILITY. Should any provision of this Act, an amendment made by this Act, or the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstance be held to be unconstitutional or , the remainder of this Act, the amendments made by this Act, and the application of such provision or amendment to any person or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

The Bill hereby Passes by a vote of x to x with x abstentions.

Upon passage, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the seal of the Senate to be affixed to this bill indicating the Senate’s assent and thus officially designated the bill’s adoption as law.
