2/7/24 Survey Questions

  • Follow up for students following termination of counseling services
    • If a student starts counseling in Spring semester, what happens during the summer?
      • Summer CC offerings
  • Phone call should not be the only form of scheduling an initial appointment
  • How familiar are students with navigating mental health services and get the help that you need
    • Service to the University if more students understand offerings so that they can refer other students when necessary
    • Big intro classes might benefit from direct outreach from the counseling center — would make more students aware of services and possibly help students in need
  • If money weren’t a factor and the administration weren’t an obstacle
    • More programming on campus
    • Mental health days
    • Giving the syllabus earlier!
      • At least a week earlier
    • More natural lighting
    • More outdoor seating for studying or classes
    • Northeastern
      • 2 wellness days
    • Each course: maybe a couple of guaranteed extensions
      • Bringing together SHWB and academic policymakers
      • SGA Storytelling event
    • Procrastination raised as a concern by SHWB
      • But why?
      • Question on survey related to why students procrastinate
    • Better faculty mentorship
    • Strengthen alumni connections
  • Orientation meeting for mental health services or training or some event
    • Maybe something during end of soph yr or beginning of jr yr?
  • Wellness Day with actual mental health improvement activities
  • Something in the student center, like a drop-in counselor during business hours???
