- Omotara reminded the senate to fill out the initiative trackers.
- Secretary - Sumire Sumi

- Chair of Programming - Tyler Turner
- President of the Senate - Srigouri Oruganty
- Srigouri reported that we will be inviting Hopkins Dining Admin on October 7th, and Health and Wellness in the future.

First Reading (5 min)
- Fall Rooftop Barbeque Funding Bill and Presentation - Senator Mamadou
- Senator Mamadou presented their bill.
- MSA annual event will be held to connect with first year students and graduate students at Hopkins.
- This will be a collaborative event with the graduate school and undergraduate school, therefore the attendance will be large, expecting 250~300 people.
- The MSA in Graduate school will be covering $400.
- The motion to move the bill to the finance committee was passed.
- National Day of Failure Tabling Bill - Chair Kirsten and Chair Tyler
- Kirsten and Tyler presented the funding bill for the National Day of failure Tabling
- Kirstein highlighted that having this event during the midterm season will welcome students to feel connected with the Hopkins community.
- Kirstein shared her idea of utilizing white boards in Brody atrium to stick sticky notes for students to freely answer their prompted questions.
- Kirstein also shared that they will be reaching out to Hopkins Dining to have customized cookies that motivates students.
- She also addressed that she is planning to interview students during the tabling event to promote SGA events.
- Tyler reported he already contacted Hopkins Dining about the cookies.
- A motion to move this bill to the second reading was passed.
Second Reading (5 min)
- Reminder on Closed session
- Srigouri explained that SGA will be having closed sessions and open sessions for a closed session was rejected.
- Jessica suggested having a closed session.
- Non-Legislative Business (30 min)
- Discussion on SNF Agora Appointment - Senator Zaynab
- Senator Zainab goes up to deliver presentation
- Motion to move to closed session was passed.
- Motion to end the closed session was passed.
- Omotara reminded the senate body that if any of them are willing to join the discussion they are invited to message the executive board on teams.

Time-length and adjournment estimates are provided for the benefit of guests at Senate meetings. However, SGA meetings are always slated to extend until 9:00 PM and SGA members are expected to remain in the Senate chamber until official adjournment by motion, whether before or after the adjournment estimate.
