  • Vishnu gave a brief report from the leadership retreat.
  • Omotara gave a brief summary of summer meetings.
  • Amy informed fall club funding form is open.
  • Srigouri and Sumi announced the update on the Teams calendar function.
    1. Advisor Report (2 min)
  • Jessica informed the senate about the Student Involvement Fair and encouraged the members to visit the Student Center. She also announced that the LEED center will not be relocated to the 4th floor from the Lab.

    1. Phi Delta Theta Crab Fest Funding Bill 2025 - Senator Juan Hidrowoh
  • Gustavo and Juan presented the Phi Delta Theta Crab Fest event Funding Bill presentation. He shared some logistics of Crab Fest on family weekend at 2-6 pm in Keyser Quad, partnered with the Office of Family Engagement.
  • Srigouri explained the bill-reading process.
  • Kevin motioned for 5 5-minute moderated caucus.
  • Kevin asked if the reason behind the bill is due to the allocation system is delayed.
  • Anisha asked
  • Amy explained that the new co-sponsorship policy requires SGA to be promoted during the event. Given that, she asked how SGA would be promoted.
  • Gustado answered that there will be separate banners and social media posts for SGA.
  • The bill was motioned to be handled by the finance committee.

    1. Introduction to SGA - Executive Branch
  • Srogouri started the presentation.
  • Vishnu talked about the main goals of SGA.
  • Srigouri explained the general rules of GBMs.
    1. Programming 25-26 - Programming Chair Turner
  • Tyler presented programming updates slides for the senate. He announced a new Instagram page and upcoming event, including the freshman election, fall SGA retreat, and Halloween theme table.
  • Hana from the class councils' programming team introduced herself and explained their plan for Battle of the Classes.
    1. Attendance Policy - Secretary Sumire Sumi

  • Sumi went over the general attendance policy with the senate.
    1. Leadership Gathering Updates - President Vishnu
  • Vishnu presented a slideshow from the LEED retreat. He also went over some initiative ideas that were presented at the retreat.
    1. Programming Updates - Chair Tyler
    2. SGA Mentorship Program - Chair Tanisha and Amy
  • Tanisha and Amy presented a mentorship presentation and advised the mentors to exchange contact information with mentees.

Time-length and adjournment estimates are provided for the benefit of guests at Senate meetings. However, SGA meetings are always slated to extend until 9:00 PM and SGA members are expected to remain in the Senate chamber until official adjournment by motion, whether before or after the adjournment estimate.
