{ S. Bill. 25-26, XX}
An SGA Funding Bill
Suggestion & Feedback Initiative
Act to Fund JHU SGA Suggestion Form Raffle
Introduced by: Jason Yu Considering this 14th day of November in the year 2025
Sponsored by: Alan Perez and Ryan Garza
Be it enacted by the Senate of the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University assembled that
SECTION 1. TITLE. This Act may be referred to as the “Suggestion and Feedback Initiative”
SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS.
- SGA — The term “SGA” shall refer to the Student Government Association of The Johns Hopkins University.
- JHU, Hopkins - The terms “JHU” and “Hopkins” shall refer to the Johns Hopkins University.
SECTION 3. FINDINGS AND PURPOSES. FINDINGS & PURPOSES:
- The main purpose of introducing Suggestion and Feedback forms is to collect and gauge student thoughts and ideas. Especially as part of the Student Services Committee, this is core to our mission and goal of engaging with students, better understanding their concerns so that we may better represent them, and ultimately work together towards making meaningful change that matters. The QR Code for the Google Form will also be printed and posted around campus.
- Each month, the members of the Student Services Committee will look through the suggestions and discuss them during a committee meeting. These suggestions will be tracked in a spreadsheet. The most pressing issues (to be decided by the Student Services Committee) will be presented to the Student Government Association Senate during GBM.
- Through this, we are hoping to enhance communication between SGA and the student body, offering students opportunities to provide timely feedback about anything that they want improved or changed here at Hopkins. Ultimately, we want to provide the greatest student experience possible and serve our student body.
- Additionally, we hope more students will provide feedback and responses so that we may be able to better engage with their interests and improvements that they want to see happen. Subsequently, we will be conducting a raffle every month to provide an incentive for more students to voice their concerns. Everyone who fills out the Google Form will be entered into a raffle (one entry maximum, regardless of how many forms filled out, per month), and a winner will be randomly selected and notified afterwards.
