MINUTES

  4. Motion to add Tyler’s bills to first reading was passed.

  7. Lunch meeting with President Daniels. Discussing safety on campus
    1. Student Body Vice President - Omotara Tiamiyu
  8. Strong chance for SGA roles to become a compensated position

  9. Iclicker answer is B, the website has been updated. Headshots should be sent to Joe and uploaded to SGA folder

  11. This Friday at 7PM there will be a Junior Gala. Senators were asked to help out the event.
  12. Hopkins got Talent will be held on Thursday at 4PM. He reported the attendance is low now so asked senators to promote this event for more sign ups.
  13. Junior Pancake Breakfast and Young Alumni Mixers for Seniors and Juniors will be held during the alumni week.

  14. Committee chairs work on transition documents.

  15. Voting period has been moved to March 30th-31st. Leadership awards are open, closes march 30th.

  17. The student body should know exactly what is going on in SGA. Monthly update requirement for the SGA to the newsletter and Instagram about what the SGA has done during the past month. Increase transparency.
  18. Motion for 5 minute caucus, approved.
  19. Shreeman brought up that a transparency bill was passed previously. That transparency would be better received through social media.
  20. Sean agreed.
  21. Kai asked whose responsibility this would be.
  22. Sean responded that the president would be in charge of bringing this out.
  23. Vishnu recommended publishing weekly articles on the website, that way people could use the website more often.
  24. Sean agreed.
  25. Kevin recommended delegating at least one person on Exec to draft these reports and posting these updates. Basically holding specific people responsible.
  26. Sean said that the president is responsible for these updates.
  27. Jason thinks the secretary should also be in charge of this.
  28. 1 minute additional speaking time for Jason
  29. Jason thinks it's important for the exec to be more involved with the senate and for SGA to be more cohesive as a whole.

  6. Tyler said the chair programming would have a certain budget for merch etc.

  13. This would give 4 chances for SGA members until they are to automatically be removed from SGA if they do not fulfill their daily requirements.

  15. Nutrition related table, providing fresh fruit

    1. JHU Affirmation Kits Funding Bill Spring 2026 - Chair Jason
  17. Has been approved by finance

  19. Small changes to the constitution, everything has been updated by current or previous SGA members.

Prospective Legislation & Announcements (5 min)

  1. Veda announced that Freshman Alumni Meet and Greet will be hosted on April 1st and asked members to sign up. There will be sophomore and junior 4 year plan events with Life Design Lab on April 8th.
  2. Senators headshots information will be communicated once Exec gets updates on them.

Adjournment (Estimated 9:00 PM)

Time-length and adjournment estimates are provided for the benefit of guests at Senate meetings. However, SGA meetings are always slated to extend until 9:00 PM and SGA members are expected to remain in the Senate chamber until official adjournment by motion, whether before or after the adjournment estimate.
